Chief VanWormer, You will be missed The CFEA mourns the passing of Cal Fire Battalion Chief Rob VanWormer. Rob served on the CFEA Board of Directors for many years. Additionally, he was a dedicated advisor serving alongside his dad and brother at the Valley of the Moon Fire Department. Rob’s contributions to the fire service are unparalleled. Rob was instrumental in turning around the Exploring Association in the mid 90’s. His leadership and vision guided us to the success we enjoy today. The CFEA has established the Rob VanWormer Memorial Scholarship Fund to keep the energy and enthusiasm that Rob poured into the hearts of every Fire Explorer alive for generations to come. Donations can be made to the CFEA c/o Rob VanWormer Memorial Scholarship.
